The Care Home and Hospital catering forum provides a day full of insight for care home caterers across the United Kingdom. The one-day event shares key insight from experts in the sector through engaging talks, presentations and cooking demonstrations.
A dedicated exhibition is run alongside the developments sessions. This enables suppliers to showcase their latest products to key decision makers.
Delegates learned from a series of presentations by respected industry experts who explored the keys to healthy ageing, and the importance of good nutrition to the quality of life enjoyed by individuals living out their later years in a residential care home environment.
Sessions included; ‘Guides to good practice’: Sophie Murray, Deputy Chair of the National Association of Care Catering and Head of Nutrition and Hydration for Sunrise Senior Living; ‘Fun and involvement’: Steve Reynolds, Chair of the National Activity Providers Association; ‘Boost wellbeing the meat-free way’: Amanda Woodvine, Chief Executive of older people’s charity Vegetarian for Life; ‘Avoiding the pitfalls of brought-in foods and treats’: Fiona Sinclair from food safety specialist STS; and ‘Celebrate life in a care home with multi-generation mealtimes’: Debbie Harris, Chosen with Care.
